SPEED TRIPLE 1050: THE PERFECT ENGINE
'Bike', Britain’s best-selling motorcycle magazine, went on a quest to find their perfect engine in their February 2007 edition. Pitching 11 different motorcycle engine layouts against each other through a series of eight tests, there could be only one winner: the Triumph Speed Triple.
Scoring highly on all the tests, the Speed Triple was the first to cross the finishing line on the ‘Traffic Light GP’ test thanks to a combination of its clutch balance, right gearing and weight distribution. The Speed Triple was the fastest on the ‘Low-Speed Overtake’ test, which saw the bikes accelerated to 40mph in fourth and then the throttle was fully opened to let the engine pull to a measured 60mph. The Speed Triple covered 146ft - the equivalent of four 18-wheeler truck lengths - in two seconds dead. The ‘Fuel Consumption’ test proved the Speed Triple to be one of the most economical engines of those tested, whilst the Speed Triple was declared the smoothest engine in the ‘Vibration’ test.
This, combined with its unique sound and one of the best-shaped power and torque curves, led Bike to conclude that the Speed Triple 1050cc inline engine is a great achievement for Triumph and declared it as the best engine for UK roads. So, in the words of Bike magazine – “Go and try one”!

why don't you enter in F1 in the vic series and show us how much faster than Poo's you are.
BTW your bro is pissing himself in the back round here about you being quick!
On a race track, his bike really comes into it's own, where mine will fall short. But most of us ride on the road, and that's what the hill climb is. My type of playground.
Besides, Poos has dropped nuts and pussied out of racing, till he can afford it he says, pffft, bottom line, he cant win, so shouldn't try.

Dover my dear friend, you seem to have over looked that there are in fact 2 races in each SBK event. Later in the evening while you were curled up in bed with your stinky teddy, sucking your thumb, Honda was kicking the arse of that under powered Suzuki.
Biaggi happened to win race one a cried. Well it is a girls bike, I mean 200 BHP. What's with that?

After riding all of the thousands I prefered one above the others, it was not the fastest ot lightest, but very well balanced and confident on its side. A total package. Unfortunatley it was also the most uncomfortable for me dodgy neck. [give you a kiss if ya guess lol]
So I bought the K6 instead, Still makes me nervous Deano!
