Depends on how well it has been looked after. Some of those small motors do huge kms. I know of a few ex-courier Suzuki 400 Imulses with over 80,000km on the clock, and one had 100,000! The 80,000km on eas being raced, with some success at the time.
On the other hand, they don't appreciate not having the oil changed.

Depends my vt250 cooked the goose (bent crank) at 80000km when i got told by a mechanic that the engines usually only last 50000. Then there is the zxr250, which had been on the track (ask CK) and the engine was still going strong after 106000km. So yip all up to maintanance. I also found this wicked site (before my bro formatted the c drive) which gave models of bikes and what was wrong i.e. sticky gearbox, engine dies after x km and so on.

my gxxxxxr 400 had 45000kms and still went strong. 52000kms in 14 years is only 3700ks a year - not exactly heaps is it.
