LOL, wish I'd have had my camera with me at the weekend....

Saw 3 scooters tootling along the dirt track which runs along River Road (SH2) yesterday. Looked so funny - big clouds of dust being kicked up behind them!

I wonder if dirt-scooting will take off?!

Before I got a real dirt bike we used to take the NZeta off road, hooning around padocks and subdivsion contructions. It's off road abilities were on par with our skill level as 16 year olds.

I was on my mountain bike on the Eastern hills above the Hutt Valley. This is a firebreak/pylon access track, a mixed clay and metalled surface with lots of ruts in the clay from water erosion. There was a fellow riding a popup headlight katana heading towards Silverstream from Wainui Hill road. I'm guessing he had a key for the gates or had come up from Wainui.

If anyone knows a good venue, there's a race series waiting to happen...
