Great effort to the team Ssangyong Sidecar boys for their dominating victory at the National Titles at Manfield over the weekend. Not only a 3 zip spanking but a lap record to boot.
All Class guys.
Puki should be interesting.
Keep up the good work.

take turns in second placeYeah... it was actually some great racing... bring on Puke I reckon some of the outfits will be out to play. Nothing like a horsepower track with a big busa backing you :sunny:

Well done Steve and Dion. Good on you for taming the "beast"....
Good luck to everyone for Puke.

Or we could just go around in circles on our own, wich would not only be boring for us competitors, but also for the paying spectators.
Real surprising that Bron won, considering he has spent more than all the other competitors combined.

I don't want to get personal here, but even ignoring the share cost of the LCR, it is comparable to racing a Ferrari against a V8 Supercar. Both are quick in their own rights, but not at all compatable. Is a V8 Supercar ever going to beat a Ferrari?
As I understand, Steve Bron is practicing for the Aussie Champs, and then the World Champs, so good on him for that.

But what I can see happening, is that the local and even the Aussie scene cannot afford to race against these machines. The Aussie scene is now so expensive to competitively race in, and not surprisingly, it's numbers are now to the point that they possibly won't even have a championship to race in!
Is this good for our sport? (I guess it's like when the Britten was racing here in the early 90's. What could beat it? It was in a class of it's own.)
Sidecar numbers in this country are increasing steadily. We don't want to emulate the Aussie scene and see it all go to waste as people realise that they can never beat a late model LCR.

What to do??

I think Steve Abbots 2002 World Sidecar Championship winning outfit that Stacey has should be somewhere in the hunt...

Ya gotta give the man some concessions - he does have purple jeans. But he did give them to Neil Ritchie at some stage last year. Why, who knows

Thats a shame Mr Bistard. Maybe Warren would take your place?
