Wanted 91-93 GSXR 400 motor k709

Please save my bike from being wrecked for parts, My timing chain snaped!.
Way to expensive to rebuild. Desperately seeking motor for sale anywhere in the north island.I have been ringing wreckers all over for 2 months with no luck

Does Any body know how to import a motor from from Japan?

Maybe talk to Mike at Mt Eden motorcycles, he importes a lot of bikes, and when I had a 250 bandit and asked about the possibility of getting in a 400 engine for it he thought it was possible, might be able to help you out.

The engine from the same year Bandit 400 will fit (gk76), and there is one being parted out on trademe at the moment.

The carbs and cams are different, but you can swap these out for GSXR400 carbs/cams at a later date.
