Personalise your Google home page and YOU choose what news, weather, sports, music etc make it to your homepage. You just need to sign in once.

Problem with having KB as my homepage is that my wife uses the computer as well, so when she opens the browser 'new posts' are changed.

google looks naff...

http://www.tv3.co.nz/ - looks good, has good features but heavily focused on tv3.

http://tvnz.co.nz/ - looks good, has good features but heavily focused on tv1 and 2.

http://www.stuff.co.nz/ - seems to be the winner so far for me.. but still not happy with it.

really liked the xtra page :bye:

You control the content of the Google homepage. It's all done via RSS feeds and you can add Kiwibike'rs RSS feed for instance. Or the RSS feeds from any of the pages you listed.

also it comes with a whole heap of preset lists of stuff, horoscopes etc etc EVERYTHING (even games and coutdowns untill its xmas!) the only thing ive added is kb ovbiously

home is just normal google

fyi: YOU DONT NEED AN ACCOUNT WITH GOOGLE/GMAIL to use the personalised page - it only reccommends it to "take it with you" (from what i see - i dont do it)

WTF? I wish someone paid me a million bucks to make websites.

ANyway, regards to homepage. I use the google customised one as it's quick. The www.live.com (Microsoft) is much prettier but takes longer to setup though.

Last site I worked on (I dare say over half of you have used it) was spending $80k+ a month every month on maintenance and improvements. Big complicated sites require some serious development, it's big business now.
