Just been out to pick up one of our members bikes after a spill on the Mirada road,on the same corner I had my BIG :eek5: slide on last weekend.
Apparently another bike went down two weeks ago and theres some HUGE marks into the paddock where a cage has gone off too.
It's outside 1785 miranda rd(that's 17.85 km's from the miranda end....),theres a big patch of EXTREMELY slippery seal on the r/h of the left lane (heading towards miranda) right on the apex of the corner.
I've rung the Franklin council and told 'em about it(they said they'll do something about it)so if anyone is going through there let me know if it ain't fixed and I'll get up them again,or give 'em a ring and voice your dissaproval.... :angry2:

I have had rear wheel slides through there almost every single time I went out on the Gixxer 6 in the wet. My mate has crashed his 04 CBR 600 there too...

Shit it was only a matter of time out there, it's fookin slippery, even if you are taking it easy through there on no throttle you'll still slide. Hope they fix it soon, best bet is to hang to the left of the road, the patch of tar sits right across the right hand lane as well.

Thanks Death for coming out to pick me up, and to everyone else that was trying to help, Tony and Motu.
For myself I'm just brusied and battered. I feel worse for my flatmate who was riding pillion. First time on the back of the bike since he was knee high, and doing was doing well. After the crash some friends arrived and took him off to A and E. 6 stitches to his left elbow (he's also left handed), and where his jacket rode up he needs some more stiches once they can get the gravel out. he's happy and fine now that he's doped up.
Only correction is that it was outside 1837 Miranda road
The bike, well left hand slide, totaled the fairing, LH ahndle bar, and most down that side. will look at it more later

Damn... I feel bad for not putting this up earlier but it's been like that for ages so I thought people already kinda knew how horrible it is through there...
Really sorry to hear about the off man :( You were doing bloody good on the rides too... It's just unfair that you got caught out on thoes nasty shinny patches... If it makes you feel any better, I think it could have happened to even the best and most experienced riders out there.
