Hello People,
Today I was out riding Aurthurs Pass on a trusty (yet very slow) xt600 when I met Oldrider - who introduced me to this forum. He's a top guy and gave me some good advice about gravel riding......as i'm a road rider and crap it when it gets loose. :shit:

I'm from London and have been traveling NZ for 4 months. I've now settled in Christchurch for the next 6 or so months, before I go off to India or China or wherever!!

Anyway, I don't have a bike at the moment - as i'm travelling - so I have to rent my kicks when I can.

Back in the UK I have owned in order - 95 ZX6R, 98 GSXR SRAD, 99 ZX6R, 99 RSV Mille & a 00 Hornet 600.
By far the best was the Mille. But those pesky Italians still need to go to bike reliability school in Japan!

Best experience - Boiling hot track day on the GP circuit at Silverstone with the Aprilia. Although I did then picked up a 1 month ban for going past a police car @ 130mph on the way home. Which was not really my fault - I blame Mr Adrenaline.

Thanks for listening....

Tris (mantis46)

Yep - lovely spanking new Tiger! Very impressive - I'd never been a fan before, but I followed him for about 70k through the Pass and the bike looked very very good.
It would be an understatment to say he was happy with it!!

Welcome to KB mantis46, it was nice meeting you at Arthurs pass and riding with you to the Linden Road turnoff.

You will find some great like minded people on KB in the Christchurch area to hook up with and talk about bikes make friends etc.

Enjoy your stay in New Zealand and you can always take KB with you where ever you are on this planet where there is a signal. :ride: Cheers John.

Welcome to KB & Chch. Keep an eye out on the meetings section for rides etc. I think there is one on to the coast, this weekend if you can find a bike to ride. Plus there are a few adventure boys always looking for a adventure!
You can always put up a meeting for drinks night if you get the urge to meet up with some yokals.
Enjoy your stay!
