Well, time really.

Coming home this afternoon from work, nipping along in the centre lane of the motorway, I was passed by a dilapidated POS cage with a family of ethnic brethren from across the waves, who then decided the 3/4 of a car length distance between myself an the car in front (doing about 40k's here) was subject to some obscure treaty claim, and they promptly occupied it.

BASTARDS!

After probably 1km of following them, I was about to attempt a noobie lane split to get in front, when they changed back to the outside lane - sweet I think to myself. Then the dirty stinking tattooed mongrels flick not one, not two - well, actually it was two - cigarette butts out. One cops me in the boot, and the other - yup, right smack in my visor.

So I took the opportunity to try out some one handed sign language, then caned it between lanes and left the mutants wondering what gem I was attempting to convey.

Shortly after, I was pootling along in the centre lane again, when I saw the light of a bike (breed unknown) coming up behind me, splitting nicely. He passed me, and out the top of a pack on the back was a stuffed toy poodle.

Then the bloody things head moved.

And looked around.

Bugger me if that didn't make me laugh a bit.

So FU to the monkeys in the cage, and kudos to the rider with the pooch.

And thank god I'm a biker, because you don't see half this crap in a cage, and life is just so much more boring.

Sorry to hear bout the pricks in the cage... but great write up! Bling sent

Hmm... wonder if the poodle has ever jumped out? At least then they wouldn't need to hire some one to shave it

Good story mate
I suspect if the toy poodle ever jumped out it would be new poodle time.

It appears the bag was securely fastened, the head was out, but it seems that was as far as Fuzzy was able to get.

And looking at how calm and ... well, if a dog can look happy, then happy it was, clearly this is a well seasoned canine! (Not in the culinary sense...)

Was the dog wearing a helmet?

Was the dog wearing a helmet?

If a head of tightly coiled and seemingly merino like fur constitutes a helmet then yes...

If by helmet you mean something NZSA - then no...

But as it was not technically occupying the pillion position, does it need one?

At the recent Westpac run I saw a biker with a little black poodle in her tank bag, parked up next to me before we left from Karaka. I glanced over when we were about to leave and was stunned to see the dog was wearing sunglasses.

Now that's style. :)

Took a quick pic with my cellphone camera but the dog was bored and had turned away, and the pic was out of focus anyway...

Dang.

My moment to shine, then someone comes in with the old 'poodle with sunnies' anecdote.

Swine!

...pity about the lack of pic though, that would have been cool...

Dogs on bikes what next?????
Personally I think all dogs should stay at home!!!!!
At least if it was a CHIMP it could hang on with it's opposable thumbs and they have cool personalities!!! Last time I went to the ZOO with my kids I could swear there was this one chimp who was the spitting image of George W Bush even had the same facial expressions!!!!
And they're so funny when they beat each other off!!!!!
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!! !!!!!:gob:

What a good writeup!

I'm reminded of Max Corkill and his cat Rastus, may they rest in peace. (http://www.xs4all.nl/%7Erottnest/rastus.htm)

If only you knew how many suspects I was mulling that would be vying for the job of pointing that out.
