Today my dad and i went down to waipawa to check out the bucket racing, i have been thinking of getting into it and now my mind is made.

i was kindly lent a bike from team cudby  (thanks soooo much) and went out for a ride at lunch. loved it soo much i had to have another ride so i went in one of the junior races.

all the guys and gals down there are so helpful, if your wanting to get into the cheapest form of motorbike racing do this because there is plenty of people that will help you get started, all you have to do is come down to the race day and people will help sort you out.

team cudby have kindly given me a number of a guy with a bike, so i should have a bike for next meet. most of the guys have contacts that can set you up with a resonable priced bike. so COME down/up to the waipawa buckets even if its just to have a look.

the council has started to get behind the buckets and if more poeple start to race they said they would reseal the track, the club is also cleaning up the inside of the track too, this will make it even better.

also there might be room for mini motard racing on the track, and i have heard they might make an add on to the track thats dirt, so the motards can race on the dirt and road in one single track.

So come on down to the local waipawa race track, have some fun and help the club grow!!!

heres a pic of me (on 144 cudby's bike) at the end of the main sraight. (first time riding on the road)

it will be way better if there is a bigger following of buckets in the hawkes bay region. we need to advertise it more (the paper might be interested) so more people know that the club exists, and we should try and race once a fortnight instead of once a month, even if one of the days don't count towards the points in the championship.

Do you know if its possible to 'buy' a race on the MotoAcademy 125's later in the season to see what its like/if it'd be worth me looking into in the future?

I Prob should just ask Steve

Hey spieghts bud

I'm in taradale

sadly i sold off my bucket bike as i couldn't ride it around enough and was to tempted to take it on the road and get in trouble. I'm doing up my old ts185 at the moment but after that I'm looking into a single/parallel road bike to do up.

heres a link to my ts if you want to look: http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?t=55207

I have been meaning to go down to check out waipawa as i haven't been down ages.
