Further proof that the Chinese invasion of the motorcycle marketplace is growing expotentially. In order to meet demand, Jialing has announced that they will build a factory in Manaus in northern Brazil.

“We will be the third largest motorcycle manufacturer in Brazil, after only Yamaha and Honda,” said Pinto Vieira, adding that the unit, known as Moto Traxx da Amazonia, would have a production capacity of 100,000 units per year, although this is a long-term target with initial production expected to reach the 50,000 stage by 2009.
