Seems to be a bit of confusion going on, people are good for saturday, some are good for sunday, i know F/F & Zed are good for saturday, so all for saturday post here, sunday post on the other theard.

So F/F, Zed & all those keen on a Saturday ride meet at Papakura AB 10 - 10:30ish or whatever suits everyone else, and head for 22 and some more of F/F's "secert" roads??? Or another route, im not fussy where we go as long as it involves riding.

Was just chatting with zed, he's keen on going out coromandel way, personally i love the roads out there, me and zed are meeting up sat morning at 9am to be at AB for 9.30am, with a plan to leave round 10-10.30am, up to the others who are keen for a ride.

I'm keen for either - 22 or Coromandel but if it is fine weather it could be a good day for the Coromandel Loop? Meeting at AB Papakura 9.30 all good but extending leaving time till 10.30 sux. Why don't we just say leaving at 10. If someones late - catch up. Just txt someone to find out where we have gone.................in case you didn't notice, I hate waiting around. If you wanna have a yarn (i.e. talk about antique road show re-runs - as we do) - turn up at 9.30 and yarn till 10. Don't get me wrong, I like to catch up for a yarn as much as the next person, but there is some serious riding to do too.

:sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: what a great day, we meet at AB as always, even got away on time more or less, went Drury , Old GSR to ramarama, crossed over the m/way and up over arariumu, onto Hunua rd and down to H/way 2 for a short run to the miranda road then out at waitakaruru on to Kopu to meet with Cajun and the Quazzies.. Change of plan and were off to Whangamata, lovely quick ride for us, stopped for lunch(well most of us) and then the others shoot over to Wahii,at this point some of our group went back via Paeroa... I waited for my mate who I forgot to tell we weren't going to coramandel, and who was busy doing a solo round the loop, got hold of him, I road back to Kopu to meet him, then we headed back to meet the others at Hikuai,, once regrouped we headed back to Kopu again fueled up and back the way we came, most of us took the coast road, I had planned to leave the others at Clevedon, but as I headed to Hunua, I see the boys had other ideas, a nice quick pace over to Hunua, we were now down to 3, back over arariumu Zed and Bruce headed back old GSR to Drury and I headed home.

What a great day, Only a little bit of rain just B4 Kaiaua, which cleared leaving a nice pace for the coast road. thanks everyone, I won't mind going back to work sunday.... :weep: too much.

Good write up Dave. Overall an excellent days riding - thanks for the company all of you who went. As I type this I feel somewhat buggered :wacko: so will get some rest in b4 I take my lovely wife out to dinner.

Highlights of my day - watching Bruce practise his wheelies; riding the Hikuai/Whangamata/Waihi road for my very first time; no bins! (that I'm aware of).

Sure was a great day - thanks for the company guys (& gal). Not too much traffic from Hikaui thru the Whangamata allowed for a pretty good blast of the cobwebs - Bruce felt the need to do it all again while we had lunch. Pity about the wet roads from Kaiaua but all in all a good day.

Sounds like you guys had a great ride. Sorry I couldn't come. I woke up kinda late and my cold that I thought was getting better yesterday had turned into a sore throat today. I still got on the bike and started riding out to the AB but I just wasn't feeling right, dunno if it was the lack of breakfast or the cold. I ended up turning back (3 times actually, trying to make up my mind :wacko: ).

Was a great ride today, once i got to terms with the rear tyre that was, they be some of my favourite roads round there, was good to catch up with you all and meet some new faces as well. The rain at the end didn't bother me too much i was too stuffed to go any quicker, reckon it was those extra runs up and down the whanagmata - hikuai rd that did it.
Cheers for the company to all that came and look to do it again next week.

Think my highlight of the day was the run from whangamata to waihi, andrew and sorry i forgot your name on the VFR400 were running a real nice pace through the twisty bits :niceone: .

Talking of rear's mine just got me through sunday's ride, barley used super corsa goes on 2moro for puke on friday and then new pilot sport after thats toast, which going by the 700odd km and week an half of use i got outa that avon it shouldnt be too long.

The one good thing about the avon is it's the first rear i havn't got a punchture on, but then again it only got 3 rides.

Think death's up for a new one too, canvas don't grip to well.
