A bike (looked like cbr900) went into a glass bus stop in castor bay north shore bout half and hour ago, passenger had blanket covering legs etc so probly hurt bad. Hope there ok. Anyone know what happened?

I saw the aftermath with a dark-blue Peugeot 40? parked in a looks-like-they-pulled-out-in-front-of-the-bike position, unless they were turning right and the bike was overtaking. I thought the bike looked like a white/blue/red CBR250/400 as I went past, but everything was being cleared up by then. Cops on the scene & a few neighbour-types, etc.

I walked past there later in the pm and saw scrapes & oil, but no blood, which I took to be a good sign. Peugeot was still there - bike marks up the driver's door & front wing. Bus-stop came off well, just broken glass, but no big impact marks to the frame. School fence looked inscathed, so did the the kerb (though concrete's harder than people), so maybe not such a brutal crash?

Hope everybody's OK. Pillions usually come off worst, and they're usually the last ones to blame...

Yes pillions do normally come off worse... sad that most usually have the least protective gear on too.... :nono:
