Hey,
Would a biker from Auckland with a knowlage of Honda motorcycles beable to check a bike out for me. It is in the Mangere Bridge area. All I would need of this person is to pop over...make sure all is good. Take photos (if they have digi cam) of the different parts of the bike...start engine..hear it run and if they could, take it around the block to make sure the engine is strong and suspension and brakes are ok. This person would need a full licence and know what they are looking at.
Here is the bike;

Motoracer, DEATH_INC., White Trash, Riff Raff and Draco are a few over that way... how about contacting one of them to go and check out the bike for you........ and they all have their full license as well.

Motoracer, DEATH_INC. and White Trash...... do know their bikes...
Motoracer has raced bikes on the track and at Wanganui and at Paeroa and has owned many a bike.
White Trash used to work at TSS in Wellington..... and has owned many a bike.
DEATH_INC. also know his bikes...
Riff Raff is WT's partner and she owns a R6
Draco has just brought herself a R6 and is DEATH_INC.'s partner.

Thank you so much for the offer, I may take you up on that if Frosty gets back to me with good news. Ive PM'd him with the request that he tells all about the bike...
Thanks Death Inc...I will be in touch either way mate.
BTW: The owner wants $4000 before any one can ride it so we might just have to hold off on the riding and just have a look n listen.

Its worth about $2K max. F2 aren't exactly prime motoring.

Ok, well considiering its the cheapest F2 I can find proves your "Worth 2k" statment wrong. It maybe worth $2K to you because you own a FZ1....but in the market at this moment in time its worth what people are willing to pay.
I think for my money I have to spend and my age (23) a F2 would be bloody good motoring.
Ok....if your a man/woman of your word...you find me a F2 in the same condition for $2000 if ya cant then put ya useless bloody comments some where else.
Sorry if I come across nasty but at the moment I can only afford these types of bikes and some one saying this bike isnt prime motoring pisses me off. Theres nothing wrong with these bikes...maybe it doesnt stack up to a new or near new bike but...so what.
No offence meant to any one....

That's total crap. There's never been one listed for less than $3,500. I've been looking ... and they *are* bloody awesome bikes. However ... any bike with odd discs probably is not something you want to buy.

I know of many bikes that have had warped disc's. Maybe this guy has replaced his warped one with one he had in his shed..

ok mate to reply to ya PM--
Quikchk owned the bike for awhile. As far as I'm aware She had no mechanical issues with it.--shoot her a pm ask her what she remebers about it -- She traded it in at the yard I worked at for a CAGE
She musta had a chemical inbalance at the time.
I had "a lot of trouble" selling it --It seems every time a customer looked at it seriously it suddenly had developed mechanical issues--But after 3 months I'd run out of excuses why it "wasn't going right" and sold it to its current owner.
Whilst we had it in stock a literally insane woman came along and deliberatetly knocked it over. Some scratches on the fairings that dont show
and its probably the start of my "pink thing" cos it definitely has Pink bits in its paint job.
As I recall it went pretty darn well and the brakes werent an issue I have a funny feeling the disk was replaced because it was worn out.--the disks were mismatched when quikckk had it
I would do a VIR on it thiough--the ks I think might be miles

Look around - dont get ripped off cos of what trademe can offer. I was placing a genuine comment as i have traded various bikes over the years and i'm always on the look.
Some members on her have got a late model CBR6 for $5K - so im not barking up the wrong tree here. How much would you expect from a bike which is now XX years old - as a trade in?
Bear in mind you can get a brand new 600 for $10k

I was getting at ya, sorry if it came across as that. Its a bummer than some owners are such dreamers and keep there bike on trademe for sale with such a high price tag...and they never sell.
