36 all round is a good starting point, although I would run a little more in the back. From the starting point, you can fiddle about with pressures, finding something you like.

If you PM TonyB, he had (has?) one, ask him what he uses.

prob at least 40 on the rear, all my biger bikes have taken 40-42psi
fronts, they are not all the same, my blackbird is ment to take 42 in both front and rear but my suzuki i think is more like 36 in the front.

just had a look at the metzeler website and for their z6 tyre (what i have on my bird) they recomend these for the fzr1000, see attached
intresting as they state around the same for my blackbird yet the owners manual says 42 on front and rear! so maybe it comes down to the tyre?

Yeah the old FZR 1000 was a nasty dog on the wrong profile tyres, I owned many bikes that didnt care what feet they wore but my FZR 1000 was like a train on rails when trying to corner, it just wanted to keep going straight ahead. So long ago cant even remember what I ended up using but she handled awsome after I changed those tyres over. Even at over 240km/h with no front fairing !!!!! Shame about the long seat, you slide right off the back when you lift the wheel up, hanging on by the ends of your finger tips.
Awsome bike though, gotta love 5 valve heads.
