Hello,

Im trying to find out where in auckland i can get a hold of some hi temp copper RTV silicone . Thats the 300+Degrees stuff i need for sealing an air leak on my KTMs exhaust port. Ive tried a few auto stores like repco but no one knows/is helpful. they only sell the red stuff thats rated to 260Degrees which i think wont do it/ or is pushing the limit a bit.

Thanks!

Supercheap Auto has it.
I bought a tube for the same/similar application - O-rings on a KTM300 exhaust header pipe.
Does the job.

engineering supply places would also have it, but it would probably be cheaper from supercheap.

What Repco did you go to? They have half an isle dedicated to sealers.Always have OE grade, usually copper or grey. All silicon is high temp by the way,but the non acidic OE grade is stronger and won't get blown out like the soft red crap.If the gap is too big nothing will stay there, best to find out the real cause.

yeah its just a tiny air leak thats pretty common with these bikes around the header that most people seem to be able to fix with this stuff.

I went to Onehunga repco ill go try supercheap/repco out by manukau city tommrow, thanks heaps.
