Truck & Trailer Unit looks to have shit itself on the Rimutaka Hill thisafternoon. Approx 1-2km down from the Summit on the Rappa side, Oil spillage across both lanes & downhill lane for 400mtrs.

Police in attendance 4pm, likely Fulton Hogan will be up there by now.

Be careful.

There was also a mufti cop on the Hutt side taking photos of people crossing the centerline. I believe this is a fairly common occurrence now (according to the Hutt News).

Really? Good shit. Better road safety initiative than the battalion of snakes on the gorge this afternoon.

I went over at 4.30 and did 2 and bit runs over each side of the Hill. Passed the Cop with the camera 3 times. I think he was getting puzzled. Good shit catching the centreline crosser tossers.
My first pass coming back up the Rapa side was when a water truck was spraying water and detergent over the corner.
Coming back up again about 6pm and just a few metres after the 'washed' section I hit a fresh patch of oil while still in a bit of a lean. She was a close moment of 50:50 this is going to end in an insurance claim. Amazing how quick an oil spill takes you from 100% grip to zero then back again. Passed two marked cars on the Hill as well.
Apart from that it was ripper evening for a blat

Apparently a car went through the fence & over the side again thismorning too. Never a dull day on the Hill.

Nice work MD.

Seems ok now, got the slippy car signs still up (not that someone even saw them, not mentioning any names....... Kendog!!), as long as it doesn't rain, should be ok.:scooter:

Yep, the road was just fine today. A tad gusty on the feathers side though and a motorcycle succumbed to the wind and made an impression in someone's windscreen. This happened 30mtrs from yesterday's spill but appeared to have little to do grip, or a lack of. Ecilop's, fire & ambo in attendance.

New Diablo rear = scrubbed
