Hey all,
Any Gisborne KB'ers want to go for a ride sometime. I was thinking of riding down south to meet up with the HB crew and have a coffee and a yarn then ride back up.
This would prob be on a Sat, aim to get there some time mid to late morning. I will corospond with some HB KB'ers and see what we can come up with. If no ones interested I will do it by myself.. :) :scooter:

Funny, used to go out with a biker when I lived in Gisborne and hardly ever did we ride with anyone else. So many great roads and so few bikers!! Any direction out of town was a fun road to ride (on a bike, a total bitch in a car!!) Sometimes, for a nano second, I wish I still lived there, then I remember the six hundred reasons I left.... :dodge: :bye: :done:
Next time we're up visiting the family, we'll arrange to go for a spin eh!

Yeah there are some .......... ok roads here. At the moment there are tones of bikes in town, must be some out of town club. Sucks that there are hardly any KB'ers in Gisborne. Oh well, gives me a reason for some long out of town rides.

I'm born in bred in Gissy, lived across from the Mobil on Lytton/Nelson Rd Cnr.
Left cause things wheren't looking good for the place, but it seems to be on the up & up.
Still got Family and alot of friends down there so try to get over as much as possible, usually in the cage tho (I hate going thru the gorge in the car, seems like such a waste). When I am down there I spend alot of time at Smash Palace.
Anyway I'll try and organise a ride thru after i get the cast off. We could meet at opotiki or something.
Good luck finding some local riders.

Gisborne is on the up! its growing so fast...with all those new apartment blocks going up etc. IF you dont mind me asking, what is you family name?

Since I've been in Tauranga, I think I have met more people who have come from Gisborne than Tauranga.
Normally when we go through we are in the van with the family.

Yes, yes, I've heard all the Cedenco stories, (but that's another story, from a time long, long ago).:bye:

I love that gorge on the bike. The long lead in from the Gisy side is a pain but the gorge is great.

I am sure there are other K/B members in Gisy. Try posting in the general area.

Yup my Mum use to work on the forecourt when it still had the pump's, Mike Curtis still own's it too i think.
My name is Paul Duncan, my step dad is Dave Thomas, he works for the Gisborne Hearld. I got 3 sister's who live there. We all went to Lytton High.
I've got a few stories of drunkin escapades at Smash and a friend of mine is now a part owner. If your a regular down there then you've probably meet Shorty, Duck, Skippy & the list goes on......
I think alot of people down there are prolly more into the Chook Chasers than road bikes.
I'm gunna be out of action for at least another 3 to 4 months mate, but a ride to Gissy for a beer at Smash is the first thing I plan to do!

Well I just learned something here.
I saw the link from MSTRS and thought to myself can you search by location?
The answer is yes:
From the member list click 'Search Members'
Click 'Advanced Search'
Enter the 'Location'
Click 'Search Now'
Brilliant.
