This might seem like a strange question to most people but I have no idea of the time frame or steps required for each step of a motorbike license.
can someone fill me in please.

written & basic practical then you have 6 months to learn (learners). then test for practical(restricted). then about a year for a full unless you do a certified course to cut it to 6 months ( recommended ). :scooter: all this is in the bikers road code

Those are the minimum times; however, you can take as long as you need to feel confident and capable :done:

Am doing a course on sat to give me the basics. Then just need to get a copy of the road code and study it so I can sit for my learners. can't wait.

Remember, do not repeat my mistake. It ain't Kansas anymore. When my 6 months on learners had expired I just showed up at the LTNZ office only to discover that on this remote island one books practical tests a month in advance. Bummer.

Good to hear you are joing the mad house,

don't rush into things unless you feel confident about your riding, try to hook up with a mentor if you can, the learning is never over, :scooter:
