Hey guys just in-need of some opinions as to
which bike would be considered as a "better" bike.

I have narrowed the search down to 2 bikes the;
Kawasaki GPX250 or a Hyosung GT250R,
Now im stuck as to which bike is more suitable..

Im past the basic learning stage and have had a fair bit of practice, and the riding position on either bike doesn't bother me either.

would have test-rided both bikes but local bike shop doesnt have any demo bikes avaliable.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Kawasaki GPX250 or a Hyosung GT250R,

Both are suitable bikes, you really need to take them both for a test ride to find which will fit you best, you could try Hamilton to see if the bike shops have them for a test ride:scooter:

A Bandit gsf250, it will run rings around the hyosung (possibly the gpx - i dont know), its lightweight, cheap (good one will cost $3-4k), easy to control and can sometimes give cbr or zxr 250s a run for their money

and its naked so you can drop it and you wont crack a fairing!

I like Kawasakis but those GT250R's just look sooo good, and they have all the little extras like a clock and stuff:yes:, I want one but they would be a bit slow for me:D, even still the GTR is definantly the one I would take:Punk:

Those GT250s fuel tanks are massive!!!! its like having a barrel between your arms i reckon. They do look pretty good for a 250 though. And I have seen good reviews on them. There was one at the last KB get together in Tauranga and i remember one guy going on about how the front shocks were unadjustable and shockingly spoungy, but thats just guys opinion.

:scooter: I have ended up buying a 06 GT250 with 7000k's on the clock, just last week. I couldnt justify spending another $2500 for fairings (that money is going towards better riding gear) Im pretty impressed with it overall! :scooter:

Good thinking there, good gear is always important:first:

There are heaps of threads here on Hyosung, but based on my experience after owning a GT250R for 3 months I can say it is a brilliant bike for what it asked of it. I don't think anyone really expects too much from a 250, but being a VTwin it has pretty good torque and the engine is smooth with no real surprises. It performs more than adequately on the motorway and has pretty good acceleration.

I can't compare it to other 250s as I haven't ridden any, but remember you are getting a brand new bike with a warranty.

If I can level any criticism (and this is not really a major problem), it is that the front shock seems a little soft and the brakes are a little vague. But I'm sure this can be sorted (assuming it is a problem).

I can't say if the Bandit is a better bike because it depends on what you mean by "better". If performance is your main concern than the GT is no doubt slower. But if performance was what you were after you probably woudln't be looking at a 250.

And perhaps most importantly (if you were that way inclined), everyone that has seen my bike - from experienced bikers to laypeople, have said it looks fantastic!
