My friends... as i'm sure we all knew, the one and only true motorcycle god, "The Doctor" has risen to the top step once again :first: :woohoo:

Some people may not have wanted to know that.

If you are going to post a GP spoiler within 24 hours of a race, use the words MotoGP spoiler as the Title, and don't put any clues in the title as to who may have won, fallen off, or died.

A big chunk of us don't have Sky and download the race.

Fucking great...give the fucking race winner away in the title why don't you...

Thanks for that ar$#@ole. As said above, even people with Sky may have recorded it due to the time is was transmitted. :angry2:

Thanks Jim for the advice, i must appologise for my enthusiasm on Rossi's win. It was indeed an ill concieved idea to post the good news so soon. I will try to be more thoughtful in the future. As for Hawkeye and Mr Sensible you can both go jump off the nearest tall building, if this is the kind off sh*t one gets when you make a mistake on this websiyr you can keep it! While the negative reaction is understandable in hind sight the serverity is not! This is in the second over reaction to a new thread i've seen today. Anyone would have thought i had just told you the friggin world was going to end and you're p*ssed off because you wanted to be a surprise! Friggin ease up! To the rest of you, again i'm sorry.

I heard it on the radio this morning, so not just you that can spoil it.
Lucky I had watched it.
Maybe you can get the moderators to change title, or pull the post for a day or 2, so as not to spoil for others. Not sure how to go about it.

I don't listen to radio, because there's nothing on radio in general I need to hear. I don't subscribe to anything that will send me an email with results, and typically I get up on Monday morning, find a torrent or other download, kick the download off and then watch it when I get home.

It's easy to avoid the results in other media too, because they generally take the form of a blitvert or a footnote..

Thanks for taking it in the tone I meant NZsarge, I was feeling like I'd been a bit rude, but maybe not!

NZSarge, bugger about trials by fire eh?
I watched the race and really enjoyed it, fantastic battle for the other places.
If you haven't seen it yet, believe me the winner is not the most enjoyable part of this race.

A tough intro Sarge but there's a few fiery pricks on here, dont take it to heart (just wait for them to cock up later and pay them back). Anyway, its tough shit for them, they should have got off their arse and watched it live

What I'm looking for is all the ducati riders who stiffened at the thought they were riding something that was world class and just got put back in their box....

....BRING IT....:devil2:

Maybe what we need is a sticky post (I would volunteer right now but I'm supposed to be busy working) on how to post race results or any thread that may give the outcome of a race away? Could just use Jim2s comments?

It needs to be remembered that not everyone is able to to watch the race or find out the results until some family and work convenient time. FWIW I'll be watching the race tonight.

Perhaps I might've been a little harsh before as well...

I agree, and then maybe we can we keep the post on the topic of how excellent the race was and not how pissed off we are because we found out the result.
(rant over)

Excellent watch.!
Rossi rode like a demon! Seemed like he was possesed for the entire duration.
Stoner has obviously matured a lot - he went hard but didn't push it like he used to last year - unlike Hopkins who just overdid it a little.

It's a long season - damn, it's going to be a good one.

It was good to see Stoner aggressive but a bit more careful than he was last year - 12 months ago he was getting so excited his talents weren't saving him then :shit: I think he's been settled down a bit with his newfound responsibilities - or maybe the new wife is taking the edge off :-) Speaking of whom, she looks like she's the wife of a 14 year old, doesn't she?!
A pity about Hopkins bin, it was an odd looking one. I just wonder if his injured wrist gave out at an inopportune moment. He was on a charge, tho'....there'll be more, it really looks like Suzuki have the 800 pretty close.
I loved Rossi's pass on Pedrosa! And Nicky's start was a good one too, from where he was on the grid - pity it didn't last and he went backwards. Elias was quick too.
There's going to be some tears shed this season - inevitable with everyone qualifying so close. Vale will get away with it, but rookies are going to be made examples of by Dorna, would be my guess.
The bugger is we have to wait a month before the next one.

Cheers
Barry

Sorry to interrupt your stroking, but we're talking the forefront of technology here...i.e. Moto GP...where puke-atty have never won...as you were.

(and you're doing pretty shit in the superbikes this year too)

...tbh I dont give a fuck, I just like good racing, but you puke poofs are easy to wind up...

I'm not a Suzuki fan or a John Hopkins fan, but I was a little gutted for him when he ran out of talent. I was over it pretty quick though, so thats all right.

The main race was a good one, but the race of the day had to be the 250's. 11 overtakes in 3.5 minutes in the last few laps, awesom

Yawn. You could at least discuss the real reason the Dukes didn't do too well on Sunday. The straight at Jerez is half the length of the Qatar straight.

The Ducatis can wind up to an incredible speed - they need a big straight to do it on though.

And as for Hoppy, I don't think it was the talent that let him down. remember he's riding with a broken wrist - I just don't think it could hold it at the pace he was doing. Better luck for him in the next few weeks - I think he's finally got a bike to match his ability personally.

edit: just checked out motogp.com and Hoppy reckons the Suzuki caught a wind gust which lightened the front too much...

Rossi, excellent display of skill and determination.
Stoner, yup it seems as though he has `matured` and has the goods to be a contender.
Hopkins, was gutted when he went down.
Hayden, was in better form this race but does he have enough to hold onto the #1 title?

And finding out the result before you intended does suck. Luckily I`ve got a subscrption to motogp.com and watch the race as it happens.

As a 'yawn and a puke owner I'd like to say they both suck.

Long live the GN250!
