I do like the look of it, but the Guzzi is the bike for our family, so no thanks.
I want to read more stories about them, like how resilient they are in a crash....

I haven't even crashed this one yet.....

I would but I heard they break in half when ridden into brick walls at speed.

I'd love to have one to compliment the cruiser - very comfortable bike and a lot of grin factor. Had the K6 thou' - nice bike. Not sure about the twin pipes on the K7 though.

I think I'd be more worried about the fact it split perfectly down the welds... but hey...

it only made 50m from the shop aswell

might have some cheap leases on ex-press bikes from phillip Island launch shortly...
all under or around 1000km...all full power models...[and probally some being press bikes..have to make them look good to the press]

With modern jap casting techniques I think you'll find that the welds will be the weak link...and by the looks the front wheel has hit the rad so it would have been a big impact no matter what speed...if 50 metres on a gixxer thou would be easy 100kms +

by the look of the pallet underneath and all the packaging material it more looks like its been droped by a forkhoist

I expect a bike to break yes, but to break that weld perfectly like that, NO. I expect all modern bikes would be the same. Scary thought regarding quality of welding

Please, shut up about the welding.

If you want to bitch about Suzuki build, there are places to look at that go a bit sad with normal use, not a catastrophe.

The bike will be brilliant to ride. Just keep it away from walls.

isnt the heat affected zone weaker than the actuall weld zone? somthing to do with the "crystals" or "atoms" gettting changed with heat?

It looks cut?

Might wait till one of you muppets crashes one, then buy it and racify it.. Sooo, whoever wants one, please crash it and wirte it off by say, july, so I can get it rebuilt and on the dyno well before the next nationals...

Wouldn't mind one if it was given to me... but I don't think I'll ever have the need for a thou, especially the GSXR. Now, a 2007 CBR600RR... that's another story.

waaaah... hmmm... didn't expect that response from the photo's... was more of a haha thing... but... the info on that crash was a guy new to sport bikes, been riding motorcross... thought he could handle it... the bike was outside the shop waiting for him to pick it up, to much revs and he dropped the clutch... shot straight into a wall... barely made it 50m... doubt it was going that fast... it's not like he hit the wall at speed... anyway... take what you will from those photo's... I still don't think the welds should have split like that... I've seen K6< that have been totally stuffed at astronomical speeds and the frame welds were in tact

I had to choose the don`t have the dollars option as I`m an unemplyed bum at the moment. And regarding the crash, 50m would be enough to get some decent speed up on any thou.
