Hey all.
Was talking to a fella in my class at 'tec today who said he'd just bought an RGV 250, got chatting away and I mentioned the powervalve issues etc that i've read about, anyway we got talking more and he mentioned it was naked with a round headlight at the front. I said 'oh, probably crashed and streetfightered' but he was dead certain it was standard...
Now i've never seen a naked RGV so anyone able to enlighten me?

Damn, that's a hot 2-stroke IMO.

Yup, the Walter Wolf was it`s full name iirc. They also did a tricked up RGV as well.

All the Walter Wolfs I've seen were full fairing RGs, all the Wolfs I've seen were naked RGVs.
Walter Wolfs:

A guy who worked at Hoyts 8 had a wolf, and I've seen a few Walter Wolfs around, but they're pretty rare in NZ.

There was a very nice 125cc walter wolf they brought into the UK for a few years. I believe Japan also had a 200cc and a 250cc version. Extremely purty looking bikes.

Yeah, the 200cc version is pretty unusual... can't remember if it was based on the RG or RGV.

Bored out RG 125 if my memory serves (of which there was a 125 version of the wolf as noted above)
See: http://www.suzukicycles.org/RG-series/adressfield-RG-series.shtml
On closer inspection, TV200 was based on RG200, which was a bored out RG125F.
And the frame looks like the same as the (later) RG150.

Wow that's sweet. A Suzuki I'd own.
Not that I know much, but it would seem to me that for reasons of pure harmony and dynamics, naked bikes and two-strokes would go hand-in-hand. The screaming and rawness of a 250cc two-stroke engine I think would suit a naked bike rather than a cosseting fairing.
