I am actually not kidding!
took my bike in to the bike shop to have a look at carbs, they cleaned out all the crap which was all good, but then discovered a slight problem....
Not sure if it was the gaskets or what, but someone in the past deicded that superglue was the answer to sticking everything back together. :gob:
My poor baby! I will have to clean her extra well when she comes home so she knows that at least I love her....

Superglue. Amateurs. Far too brittle.
You need a decent epoxy glue to fix up the plastic bits inside the modern carb.
Ask F5 Dave. He'll put you right on this.

Superglue is sweet for shortening o-rings though :)

Hahaha, thats pretty shocking. Wouldnt the parts that had the glue on them be stuffed...doesnt superglue make plastic go all warped etc?

seems it was used instead of a gasket... not very smart seeing as petrol dissolves it (thus they leaked) gaskets were ordered in a couple of weeks ago from japan, must ring the bike shop tomorrow to see if they're done with it
