if there are any parts that are ok you may be able to sell them. but by that price tag i can't imagine there will be. thats one expensive GN. labbour must be huge.

Don't be so sure! The insurance company may write it off, and give you the option to but it back for sweet f a.
There must be a bucket load of parts around for your bike, you can just fix it up, (with the help of some mechanically minded kind KBer) re vin it and away you go.....
We are in the process of doing this with hxc's bike, and there aren't that many Spadas around to get bits off, we have found all we need at a very friendly price, should have his bike back on the road for under $700.

There's lots thats OK - it's all cosmetic stuff, but by the time I've gone to the effort of buying the bike back it's probably not worth it. May as well take the money and run.

The engine is mint.

We'll see. It depends how much they want for it - I would imagine that since ginny parts are in high demand, the cost of buying it back will be quite a bit.

I've had to fight to get TOWER to even consider allowing me to buy it back - it's against their policy to let you do so cos they can generally get more for the vehicles at auction.

I do have a very nice assessor-man tho.....

If you can get it cheap enough (say $250) then def buy it back. As I said in your original thread, you'd be surprised how well you can repair a lot of cosmetic stuff without having to replace it. Call it a project for winter.
