Well, Ive just completed 2000kms on the Suzuki C90T (the touring version of the C90, which has Bags, Screen and a bundle of extra chrome) and here are a few of the thought about the bike.
1. while this is a reasonably heavy bike at 302kg dry weight, plus gas plus baggage etc, when riding one up, it feels and handles like a 250 in traffic, (with exception *)
2. whilst handling is a dream for a cruiser, it does have the usual problem (*) of hanging the running board pegs if you try to lean it like a sport bike.
3. Two up changes handling slightly at slow stop start traffic (*) as the pillion weight being higher up does make it a little heavier in such traffic situations, but once up and running you need to check you still have a pillion, its so roomy that you just dont know you have a pillion.
4. Accelleration and torque are there where you want, at both low and medium ranges, Half throttle two up cruises around 130-135kph with a ton of legs left. Engine can run as silent as a lamb or with a little squirt find the lion in the tank.. Gear change is fine though a little clunky for my liking, but normal for this range of bike. Braking is awesome, twin front and single rear disc pulls her up quick..
5. Comfort / seating position is great, both rider (big seat) and pillion (still full enough).
6. Economy aint that bad either surprisingly, (probably because of Fuel Injection) average around town 16-17 kms per Litre, On a cruise 18-20 kms per litre.
7. Range.. this is probably one of two shortcomings I can see, it only holds 14 Litres, maybe 280kms per tank.. and no reserve :-) though good digital gauge on the tank once you know which graph leaves how many litres..
8. Windscreen, at standard setting range, is fine up to around 80-90kph, at 110 it nearly buffered my head off, no matter what type of helmet open or FF, I tried various settings, including angling inwards and I now have it 90 percent better, with a minimal amount of buffeting, But you can ofcourse duck in behind for a buffet free ride, but who wants that for a 800km trip, Needlessly to say my size will have something to do with it at 5'9", but am looking into a slightly higher screen which should allow me to sit how I want.
9. THe Chrome billet items seem good quality but the chromed screws seem a little less so, as Ive already seen one or two with signs of the brown stuff, but then these didnt have the required allen screw hole plugs fitted which might have contributed.. since rectified..
10. Wish List... Tacho (but they want around $500) and a bit more storage space, no room under seat as thats where the Tank is, it does have a reasonable tool kit and space though darned difficult to get out as its right abovr the kick stand which ofcourse is leaned over.....
All in all a fantastic ride, great look, great sound, and value for money, I think its hard to beat for a cruiser.
