have you ever been guilty of looking at others your own age and
thinking, "surely i can't look that old?"

well... you'll love this one!

i was sitting in the waiting room for my first appointment with a new dentist. i noticed his dds diploma, which bore his full name.

suddenly, i remembered a tall, handsome, dark-haired boy with the same name had been in my high school class some 40-odd years ago.

could he be the same guy that i had a secret crush on, way back then??

upon seeing him, however, i quickly discarded any such thought. this balding, gray-haired man with the deeply lined face was way too old to have been my classmate. hmm! m ....or could he???

after he examined my teeth, i asked him if he had attended morgan park high school.

"yes, yes, i did. i'm a mustang," he gleamed with pride.

"when did you graduate?" i asked.

he answered, "in 1959. why do you ask?"

"you were in my class!" i exclaimed.

he looked at me closely.

then, that ugly, old, wrinkled, bald, fat, gray, decrepit son-of-a-bitch asked

"what did you teach?"

My god, that's good. Submit it to reader's digest if it happened to you! Life's Like That.
1959 eh, ah you're not that old. He probably looks old because he's a dentist, they have the highest suicide rate for any profession in the first world.
Do you have a husband / partner? I'm currently single too, and like older women...:blip: :yeah:

I've had both ends of the spectrum - I was taking part in a photography workshop a few years ago and finished my city shots early so headed to the studio where others were taking fashion shots. This photographer, who was about 60, came up to me and said "which one of the girls is your daughter?" I nearly died, they were all about 20 and I was only in my early 30s!

But at our wedding two years ago, someone asked my sister if she was my mother... she was NOT impressed! She's only 14 years older than me (so in certain parts of NZ she quite possibly could have almost been my grandmother) but has kids and smokes - shows the damage they do to your looks!

I was at a baby shower last year - it was amazing how much older the woman looked that had children and/or marriage. Woman in the bracket of 35-45. I joke that the men in my life have aged me lol Well the last two that I had "relationships" with. Don't have children.

Bugger you'll just have to settle for the younger ones even knowing it would be such a hardship.

Ha, you edited your posts to remove the bit about Tollov...
I'll be working with him on Monday you realise...
I've seen him with no clothes on, and he's every but as hunky as you imagine, built, toned, tanned tall and muscly.
I am straight by the way, just speaking from a aesthetic standpoint, lol!

Have you ever been guilty of looking at others your own age and
thinking, surely i can't look that old?

Well . . . This is a story about a middle aged lady’s visit to her dentist.

“my name is alice, and i was sitting in the waiting room for my first appointment with a new dentist. I noticed his dds diploma on the wall, which bore his full name. Suddenly, i remembered a tall, slim, dark-haired boy with the same name had been in my high school class some 30-odd years ago.

Could he be the same guy that i had a secret crush on, way back then?

Upon seeing him, however, i quickly discarded any such thought.
This balding, gray-haired man with the deeply lined face was way too old to have been my classmate.

After he examined my teeth, i asked him if he had attended morgan park high school . “

“yes. Yes, i did. I'm a mustang,' he gleamed with pride.”

“when did you graduate?' i asked. “

he answered, “in 1975. Why do you ask?”

“you were in my class!”, i exclaimed. He looked at me closely.

Then, that ugly, old, bald, wrinkled faced, fat-assed, gray-haired, decrepit son-of-a-bitch asked,

“what did you teach???”

Whelp, that was predictable. Must've read it before. (Or maybe I'm psychic! :eek5: )

How well have I aged (since you asked the question)?
Most disgracefully. Although the SpunkyChickAtWork who's not quite young enough to be my daughter, thought I was around 38. Pretty outstanding considering I'm really 103, and some bits are even older. (My teeth, and the high-tech metal/composite bits in them are, of course, much newer).

Yes age is indeed a funny thing. We all look young in our leathers and our helmets on. The not so full head of hair doesn't matter. I get the odd (not that odd) twenty something year old sweet talk me at work from time to time. I do tell them that I am 47 years old, which shuts them up quite quickly. It is however quite flattering. 15 years ago I'd have been like a rat up a drainpipe however these days I just assume that the cost would be too high; though I have not ever asked the price as it might cause offence:) PLUS I wouldn't do that to my msisus (even if I could get away with it).
