Well Miss Cowboyz wants to become Mrs Cowboyz and we would like a live singer at the reception. 12 May seems like a good date. We had one almost lined up but she was seriously weighed down by a diva complex so had to let that fish go.
Looking for someone who can first and foremost sing. looking at "normal music" like commercial pop.
If you walk round looking like you have something stuck up your arse or a chip on your shoulder no need to apply.
Payment will be in cash compeditive to commercial rates.
Just because I have been told off for posting non bike related topics on kb what do you think of the L plate, shame kb is closing down in a week, what gas/oil/brake fluid should I use in a 98 ZX9R?
If you just want to take the piss then post it here. If you are serious about the gig and think you have the skills to pull it off then PM me.

yep. The wedding (rather the weedding- someone is going to point out my bad typing) is going to be a closed formal affair. Would certainly appreciate it if you could point anyone who is capable in my direction. I will stress that I am not expecting favours either way. This will be treated solely as a commercial venture.

A friend at work had Fat Freddie's and the place rocked (about 2-3 years ago). They prolly command a bigger price now! Email then and see what they say.

Hmm...no details about where, when etc. But...
How about The Soul Miners? A 6-piece soul band with female lead.

cheers for the suggestion for soul miners but soul not really going to work for me and little outside the budget. The venue is also a cosy little place so full band will be a problem. Really looking for a solo act or maybe a 2 piece.

yep. The wedding (rather the weedding- someone is going to point out my bad typing) YEP - i was wondering why you wanted someone to sing , whilst you wrenched poor defenceless weeds, from the ground..........a new twist on a mafia, ritual perchance.....

Despite the incursions of a kiwi twang, this is usually spelt "competitive". It comes from the word compete.

I have contacts with Katchafire, but they are a tad westy for weddings! lol

That's what I'm worried about. He should have enough problems.

great. point out ANOTHER one of my pitfalls before I get the ring on her finger. I was trying to hide all my faults until AFTER she has the oppurtunity to run away.

actually when at home Mrs Cowboyz spell checks for me cause I cant spell for shit and she knows everything ;-)
When at work I am not so lucky so it is just as well people round here assume I know what I am talking about. (plus I very rarely have to write anything down)

We had an awesome 2 piece at our recent wedding, but probably too far away to come. Well worth it though they had an awesome selection of songs. Good luck with it, dont be shocked though at the charges some groups want, seems if is it for a wedding then the charge is MORE!!! go figure that

had a chat to a DJ today who seems like a good bet. He wants $600 for the night. not too shabby. Would have liked a live singer but doesnt look like it is going to work out and running out of time.

What about the (self) legendary Wayne Anderson, singer of songs (http://www.wayneanderson.tv)?
Interesting looking guy, can't vouch for the singing though...
