UPDATED again !!

looks like the only person game to get the bike out tomorrow is Dammad1. so looks like i'm going to Thunder x.

if any one wants to go, try to be there at about 9.30 - 10am.

also if there is anyone who lives in Mt eden, or central auckland that would like to go for a ride but has no way of getting their bike there i have room for 1 on my trailer.

Cheers,

Hi Everyone,

I can't convince anyone to go for a ride in woodhill this friday! I have checked and they will be open Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon over easter.

So, Anyone want to go for a ride?
Looking for intermediate riders/ Novice . Please no Stefan Everts/ Coppins look alikes

If i can get 5 or 10 people together it should be a good day out.

either reply here or send me a text 021 76 35 35

looking for more people to ride with, as the people i am currently riding with are pikers. Wives/ girlfriends ect wont let them get out.

Also looking for someone to do the 2 man Enduro cross country series (novice class), as last years partner's bike is broken at the moment.

Cheers

James

Hey Jimmy, i'm always keen for a ride, will probably go to thundercross on friday depending on the weather, if its real wet then i'll be keen on woodhill.

I also have been thinking about the two man series.

woodhill as the place out west by Huia ?
Was out there today, a few roadworks along huia, but nearly all cleared.
I'd be keen for a blat down there again, taking the cage was no fun with gear going from side to side.
Just not to early, i want to be able to enjoy a Friday I dont need to be up early for :D

i think you quackar, might have a bit to much power to run with the off road boys their Ben.
But you can try and get some tyres to fit, and give it a go.:innocent:

Yeah i'm definetely keen, but i'm just trying to figure out what the weather is going to do.
If it stays reasonably dry then i'll go to thunder x, but if its wet then woodhill will be the go.

i'll be driving thru the Waikato tomorrow so i'll see how much rain is around.

5th April 2007, 21:38
Its really good there, it costs $20, some good loops with plenty of variations.

I get off at Mercer and go over that bridge, it takes me about an hour from Howick.

jimmy 2006

when the mercer road hits the main road that thunder x is on, do you go right or left?

dammad1
5th April 2007, 21:46

Just spent !!FOUR!! hours driving to Thunder Valley Park! #$%^&* The southern motoway was clogged from the city to mercer - I counted SIX accidents...

Got there, to find a sign saying "closed". You think if they could make as sign to put out they would at least change thier answer phone message from "we are now open weds through sunday".

*^%*(%(&*^(&(
I'll calm down soon... I Hope...

just so everyone knows and dosen't waste there time ( and petrol) like we did. Thundercross looks to be closed on sunday as well. Or so the sign that was there today said. to drive that far and find it closed sucks.
Kimmys bike park, is all good we decided for a bit of a change in riding terrain. good enduro loop that makes the most out of the land available with alot of switch backs.

I went to thundercross sunday weekend before last, on the way there i rang to make sure that they were open, the guy who answered advised me in an arogant tone that they were always open and there was need to ever ring and check!!!! that being said it's still a great place to ride.

dammad1
7th April 2007, 19:56
Yeah James at thunder x can come across a bit like that sometimes.
