Ok folks NEXT wendsday Im going to have a show N tell evening.
BASICLY Im going to pull a whole bunch of bike Bits off of the shelf and show you lot what they are and what they do.
Talking theory is one thing but actually having a carby in bits in front of you is another.
If we have time Ill have a crank/rod piston head with valves cams cam chain from a motor
A carby
Clutch
Brake caliper
Switch block
Front end out of a bike to show brakes /bearings etc.
and anything else I or (HINT HINT) anyone else has in their gargre.
Because my Gargre aint exactly Huge --er double sized I wanna limit numbers to a max of 12 folks
Ill be starting at 7.00
Meeting place will be Shell Westgate as per normal wendsday night meetups.
From there a short (3km ) ride to my gargre
SHELL WESTGATE is the shell petrol station right at the top of the nor western motorway --or the end of don buck road depending how ya look at it

Tony, I should have new front rotors and pads to fit by then, should I bring them along so people can see how it's done? (fitting brake pads is a usefull thing to see for newbs).

Would be convenient for me as I dont have a front stand or the hex-head sockety thing to get the front axle off...

FROSTY

Devil--Its more of a show parts than fit parts night. But If we've got time im happy to switch the disks n pads for ya

What bloody cretinous wanker closed the flaming motorway! And diverted everybody into some round the world detour of the whole of West Ruddy Auckland . So far bloody west that I was passing "Beware of 'roos" signs!

If they must have a blasted detour at least make it as short and direct as possible Not a complete Cook's Tour of Westieland.

Yea I know it was a pain. Took an hour to get home....I hate it when they close it. Im sure I struck every red light too which made me even more aggro :innocent:

Road works - line painting and other things.

How do I know this......

Well I escorted Lteejay and another rider to the motorway..
Got to my turnoff at Te Atatu and then I escorted them all the way throu New Lynn back to Pt Chev.

I even passed by the street that I turn off to get to my place.... to get them back to the motorway. Cos they don't know the area. So I got to ride a extra 20kms to get home.

So I jumped back on at Pt Chev and had a good look over the medium bariers.... as I passed all the trucks.

There are lots of side streets to shorten the route.......thats IF you know the west streets. But they took everyone on the main roads to get back to the motorway.

The motorway was shut from Te Atatu to Pt Chev/Waterview city bound.

Good night frosty - cheers for your time. Nice to finally meet you also.
Thanks for the help getting home Crashe.

So the carburetor is connected to the brake pads.... or was that the front forks :dodge:
Ah.. think I will just pull my bike apart and see if it fits back together like a jigsaw - can't be that hard, can it?
