After years of surfing KiwiBiker over the shoulder of my partner ( and getting agitated by the amount of time he spends on the site ) I have decided to join in myself. OH MY GOD,:gob: How easy it is to get caught up in all the threads that have been posted. Have to grovel at his knees now and apologise for all the mutterings and cursings about how much time he spends on this site.:not: I can see now that there will be a race for the computer. He's already trying to push me off.:Pokey: Well, I have several years worth of reading to catch up on, so he can wait.:nya:

I am getting into riding later in life and am having a few confidence issues around town. However I am determined to overcome the jitters and look forward to joining lots of people on rides.:niceone:

Welcome........

Wohooooo another VIRAGO  rider out there......

Tell him (who must obey you) to go and buy his own computer to play on....
Or at least buy you a brand new comp of your own..... then you can both be online at the same time without the fights....

My missus used to get really annoyed at me spending a lot of time on KB. Now she's got an RG150 and her own log in - I get home and have to fight for use o the keyboard!

welcome to KB.

And somewhere, a bike rides on ....

Excellent and well met Mutley! Like all late converts that have seen the glory that is two wheels of freedom, you have that inner fire of the biker spirit! And it doesn't help with KB fanning it (hotter or colder depending on some of the threads lately! :innocent: :dodge: )

Anyhows, bet there is a ton of threads you need to work through and just make sure you're spending as much time riding as surfing here!

hey there Mutley,

Welcome to kb and all that is in it. As u can see there is a lot and something for all sorts. Plenty of ppl here to chat about anything u wish too.

Get out there and ride to improve the confidence. Don't rush and get in with some good patient riding friends/ mentors who are keen to guide u. Perhaps ur other half may do this if he isn't on the computer on kb! lol.

Have fun and ride safe.

Thanks everyone for the very warm welcome. Nice to see some people remember the Wacky Races.
Thanks to those who gave me bling, the only bling I have received from anyone apart from the hubby.
Which reminds me, I must give him a gentle reminder of how good I am to him.
Looking into the possibility of buying a laptop. Would be handy for our business and hopefully stop the elbow in the ribs (mine into his) as we jostle for the keyboard.
Sun is shining here in the south and not much wind (except for the other half). The bike is calling, so I must " Do something"

Hehehe Welcome another mainlander to the nuthouse.
Remember who wears the pants rules the computer!

Don't worry you'll soon gain the confidence with the town riding. It takes time & practice. I just thought of it as, if I've survived driving it all those years I can do the same on two wheels, ride like everyone is out to get me!

Welcome to KB, please take a seat and the nurse will be along withyour medication shortly. lol
Enjoy the riding and the other nutters who use this site, it is habit forming and really should come with a warning, but most likely no-one would read it anyway.

Welcome aboard. Wacky Races rock! "Dog-gone Clodhoppers......" etc etc. I actually think the Ant Hill Mob is out there under (individually) assumed names. Don't feed the animals after dark. You'll learn fast around here. Something else that rocks is the Mainland, we're on our way this coming summer. One way ticket.

Whacky races, shit that show used to crack me up, and ‘mutley’, that sniggering hound.
My missus used to tie the computer up on me too so I could’nt get online. I had a solution, I just went down to the shop and brought another….no problem.
