Do you want to work in a job that you can turn into a career? This is not a wind up. We have offices in Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington, Tauranga and overseas.
We are looking for people (19 - 30ish) who are want to work as draughtspeople or draughting technicians. This is a career that can take many different paths such as Designer and Project Management. Send me a PM if you're interested.

Technically you could say Drafts(people) because they would draft up drawings... but the correct term is draughtsperson....
Oh, sorry... just realised ... country bumpkin humour... (you tryin' to do city jokes now, boyo?)

Just out of interest are you looking for Civil, Structural, environmental or other.
What package are you using or moving into?
I would love to move back to Tauranga, what is this position?
Almost 10yrs as structural drafty here.

Really I'm just putting the feelers out there to see who's about. It's the usual story not enough development of junior staff.
We're currently using AutoCAD, Revit, MX and a host of other add-ons throughout the company.
What's required? A drawing background would be good but not absolutely necessary. You should have some interest in drawing or designing (principally buildings, roading, or infrastructure). The company I work for is involved in a variety of different projects.
An ability to communicate well with others and work as part of a team.

It still is. There's no such thing as a draughtsperson. Just like policewoman, firewoman, chairwoman. They dont exist.
