Binned 6 times in 2 days.

Well my dad thought it was time for me to start learning to ride on the dirt :P.

Fell off 6 times in the last 2 days, all very minor at almost 0kmh :).
Learnt alot! at least :).
No damage on my bike except a broken plastic for the headlight, so it looks extremely ugly right now!, at least people on the Newbie ride this weekend can have a good laugh at me :).
Havent binned on the road yet tho dont plan too :).

Not enough guys start out on a dirt bike learning the ropes any more.

A dirt bike will teach you a lot about living with a lack of control of the situation. I'm sure a lot of bins with new riders happen because they don't know what to do if they get into a situation which is out of their control.

Just for interest, what were the reasons for the binns ???? , valuable info for the newbies to learn. Good on ya for geting back on and keep going.

stop grabbing at that front brake.

I've got a feeling when you get the low speed wobble you're grabbing the brake and falling. Are you used to jumping the frount end of a bicycle at the lights? you can't do that with a motorcycle. Stop and put both your feet down, or slow and have a little bit of throttle and feather the back brake.

If there is another reason for the bins, best of luck getting it sorted.

Yip Off road is a such a good place to learn but crashing sucks,

Keep the confidence up and keep trying to stay up then keep trying to get faster until you have the 2 combined together and you should be sweet as.

Half of then werent really bins half the time the bike didnt even hit the ground, i just had to jump off because i got stuck or something, it was a great learning expierence.

The first one was the worse, grab the front brake on accident going into some mud, front wheel lock went down on to the side, broke the plastic guard on the left side.

Next one from memory was i got stuck in a rut going up hill had to jump of to the left because i wasnt too confident, bike fell to the side nice and lightly.

The other one i memba was going tho some deep mud too much throttle wheel lost traction bike fell to the right i got nice and muddy, luckly wasnt deep enough to hurt the bike at all :).

The other ones were very minor but i guess if u fall of the bike its classed as a bin, meh.

Im actually happy i fall off this many times, i can see it will improve my road riding a fair bit when i get into dangerous situations e.g hitting gravel around a corner.

I have no problems at all riding on the road :) and am rather confident, it was my first time dirt riding hence so many falls because i was being pushed pritty hard by my dad :P oh well at least i learnt alot.

Its a fact of trail/dirt riding your always going to come off again some day :(, even the pros still come off.
Kinda embrassing but hey at least i learnt ALOT! about riding in general in a space of a coupled days, i would say to anyone who hasnt done it before jump on a dirt/trial/farm bike and give it ago but make sure to get all geared up because your probably going to fall off and really it isnt that bad :).

I'd love to play around on a dirt bike, fall off lots and learn. I ain't got no farm though, all my farmer friends are in the south island. Pity, cos they have lots of old farm bikes sitting in the shed too, mostly unused, for the musterers.

Expect to fall off plenty offroad....it happens to the best of them!
