What tyres are you running on your dirt bike?

My bike came with dunlop standard and the grip pattern is for medium to hard ground i think.
Any way they suck the kumera big.
kept losing the front all the time.
i put a Michellin S 12 on the front and man what a difference.
today trail ride it felt really planted and di'dn't lose front at all.
but it really exagerated how shit the rear is , so this week an S 12 will go on the rear.
i cannot speak highly enough of the S12.

The s12 are a good option, however I find the s12 front tends to wander a bit, I run either

Bridgestone 402's

or

Michelin MS3 front MH3 rear (MS3 rear in winter)

If its a sand track then Shinko 540's (but only for really soft stuff)

i agree, the S12 wander on hard pack (really noticeable at Harrisville) but they are very good in the wet, and expecailly on soft grass, i would hvae one on over a 540,

i normally run MH3's everywhere, great lasting tyre, excellent traction,
i take m402A second, i run 120/90-19's and 90/100-21's fourstroke specails on my 450's, we have a lot of guys running the 110/80-19's on their 250F's and are loving them

got a s12 on the rear of the yz426f great tyre got me through every thing so far front needs replacing was on it when i got it its a odd ball brand tyre but works ok for now

Had a DRz400,now got wr 450, not a very serious rider but have had s12 on
front and rear on both bikes and will get same again next time.

pirelli mt32's from and rear on my 02 426, never losing front end, hardly wearing at all, except bit soft on rear, need to turn the tyre round already, mostly riding on clay

Micy MC5 front & rear..

IMO its not so much the brand you have as your attention to tyre pressures ! that makes the differnce, one of the biggest problems noted in my time working woodhill forest bike park(5years) ,was riders who had over inflated tyres !

Just about to try a S12 Michy, had been running Metz MC4s (MC5s are hard option, 4 intermediate), which are alright, but not stunning.

My new pick for rear is a Mitas C10. -A who? :mellow:

Ex Barum, they are supposed to be intermediate to hard, but I didn't know that & proclaimed it the best tyre I'd run in the mud. Works on hard well too & lasts well. Just put on another.

Dunlop D756's are highly recommended. They're way better than the crap Dunlops that go on as OEM fitments.

I just got one, the grip's ok ( though the OEM had lost enough edge that anything would be better ), but is it just me or is it not the best under braking, definitely it's wearing quick.

ill be sticking with the S12 Michy mine done round 100 hours and still bites and grips hard will be changin after the beach run (mr motor cycle ride ) this weekend
