I am still looking for a new bike and.......

Does anyone know any information about these bikes? I test rode a 2005 BMW 650 in the weekend and was pretty nice ride, want something to do a bit of gravel and mild off road but be comfortable enough to cruise on. Has anyone had any experience with these bikes? I know that it would be relatively heavy off road but I assume comparable to a Dakar etc.

This (http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=95177344) one on trademe appears reasonable buying. You would have thought that they would clean it before selling tho!

Thanks in advance

I have the 955i and I'm really pleased with it. There is plenty of discussion here: http://www.triumphrat.net/modules.php?op=modload&name=Forum&file=index&vcat=8

Also try here : http://www.triumph-tiger.com and might be worth trying here as well :- http://www.t595.net/

Are you looking at the Mk 2 girly shape same as my 955i or the original steamer? Personally jury's out on mine nice to ride but had reliability issues and getting hold of parts has been slow at times.

I guess i should have looked at your link, an original steamer looks nice i am sure you could get a lot of advice of any of the above sites.

I took a Tiger for a ride a while back (don't know which model now). I liked it but it was a bit bulky and wide for my likings. Nice power & handling. You'd be better off with a KTM mate, come over to Oz and buy mine ;)

Try a V strom before you buy the 650 is best if your going tropo. only weighs 198 kl V twin with about 65 horses. Is ideal for your requirements and a great bike. read the reviews
