went down on left hand side lost half its oil on the road. fairings did there job perfect protected everything.i can't see the source of leak as it's all intact and looks good.the header on the left radiator kept weeping so thats coming off to get tested. my quandry is does the oil tank and cooler come off as one so i do not have to break the factory hose clips as they are the permanent sort

probably, don't think it can be bad. there is a slight dent in it.do you take the oil circuit as one

The oil tanks are well known to leak around where they have the mounting brackets welded onto them so check there first . Block all holes & full with oil right to the top & leave for awhile to see where it is coming from , could even be a seam . know where there is secondhand tank if all else fails . don't worry about taking the clips of oil line just replace with good s/steel hose clips commonly done .

Worked my way thru all the fairings ( what a work of art ) just taking off the radiator then oil tank. Any ideas on pressure testing cooling radiator. cheers dude.

Yep block off all out lets , make a bung at the top which you can connect a push bike pump to fill with water with dye in it then lightly pump some pressure into the tank & check .

Thanks dude, closer inspection has revealed bracket pulled off top of header tank revealing a 5mm hole, needs reataching.looks as if it glued, any ideas if it can be soldered.
