It is on the eastern side of Upper Hutt railway station.
Heading North on Fergusson Drive, turn right at the Burger King / Cobb & Co. roundabout, rightish around the next roundabout, pass the swimming pool which should now be on your left, over the railway line, hang a left at the roundabout (fuck there's a lot of roundabouts in the Hutt), then just follow the road and you'll come to a playground/park. That's the bugger.

Anyone know roughly what time the 'ride' gets into town?

We have an afternoon ride with the Classic Club lads thats not to be missed but fortunately, starts in town.

I think you're right ... was thinking that it might be like today and was going to play the guilt-trip card

No wimping out. Even if it's wet the ambos will still scrape you off the road

Not wanting to be picky, but for those that are a bit confused like me, I think it is Park Street. Click here (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=park+st,+maidstone+park,+upper+hutt,+nz&layer=&sll=-41.119406,175.080473&sspn=0.043581,0.051413&ie=UTF8&z=15&ll=-41.125239,175.075507&spn=0.021788,0.025706&om=1) for a map of where I think it is...

Thanks very much to all who turned up. There were 90 bikes at the Ambulance Centre which was awesome after the 30 odd in the pouring rain last year and $1,000 was passed over to contribute towards a new defribulator.

This Ulysses organasied ride appears to have been well supported by Kiwi Bikers, HOG riders and WIMA. In fact, the organisation was short on badges and sausages thanks to the great turnout. (PM me if anyone missed out on a badge and would like to order one)

Here's a few pix.

That was a good day out. I ended up at the Taka carpark as usual for a toasted sandwich. Ambo's were hard at work with a 4 or 5 car pile-up at Te Marua, go the Ambo's!.

Noice to see you all.... I hate large group riding (with a passion) as people in cars get all antsy and stressed by lotsa bikes and it's a bloody wonder we all made it but - we did and I had 3 sausages - anna coffee and gave em extra too because frankly the sausages were GREAT!

Timing was perfect because Jim2 and I (who is a top bloke despite only getting one sausage) then joined the Wellie Classic Club for the second 'Fortifications' ride which was a LOT more fun than riding up the Takas (again) because we went to places we had never been and saw some pretty interesting old munt in wierd places. I actually learnt a bit including my street scrambler is more street than scrambler ( I did a cool wheel spin in some cow poos though) and Jim2 found that his bike is actually an adventure bike and that old bikes are not always evil handling piles of shit...

We both found kick starting an old bike with poo in your boot is slippy.

A blardy GOOD day

Well my ride was even shorter - slept in - got up at 10.50am - got straight into the leathers - just going through the petone - hutt turn off and saw all the bikes so did a u-ee. Enjoyable event.
And Jim2 could have had more sausages if he wanted!! lol
