i know you must be getting fed up with me by the way but if you could bear with me and soon i will be able to contribute here!!!

my question is, i need to find out what motorcycle publications you have there, and yes i have tried google but it shows one mag(a used price guide more than anything else) and i cant get past the homepage!!!

why do i need to know? well it is so that i can advertise my bike cafe/bar leading upto the opening so i can get some punters:apint:

any and all help is really appreciated..................also i might just buy some of you KBers a bevvy or 2 when its open!!!

woohoo 3 weeks and i will be landing on your shores:rockon:

also, do you read any of the bits of paper that fall out of the said publications or do you chuck them in the bin straight away? or are you more likely to see/look at and read an advert actually in the mag/paper?

Insets go straight in the bin unread! I loathe those things with a passion ... and that's from an ex professional ad man.

Kiwi Rider magazine is one of the larger mags but there are two others as I recall just can't remember their names

Yep! 'Kiwi Rider', 'Bikerider' and 'Motorcycle Trader and News'. I tend to buy all three as I'm hopelessly addicted to bikes... Not sure which would have the biggest circulation but either KR or MTN. KR has been around forever and covers road and dirt as does MTN but Bikerider magazine is road only. Has two sections, general road and cruiser. Both KR and MTN have trading sections, (bikes and accessories for sale).

I look at the inserts before throwing them away just in case there may be something interesting.

I usually dump all the inserts straight away unless they are offering something free or are in a booklet format. Single sheets don't even get a look-in!

I hope you've got the name of the place sorted out and an application in to trade mark it because they take forever. It's usually a couple of months to accept the application, then they advertise it, then there is a period of about six months for objections to be lodged - and then a few months later you may be lucky enough to have it registered! Mine was applied for in February 2006 and it's still not through yet!
