NC24 dead battery

Ok I think somethings up. I kinda killed the battery by mistake, cus I flooded the bike and tried to start it. so I took it for a long ride to try recharge it however it didnt work...

So I want to try get to the battery however I cant figure out how to get to it.

could it be possible the alternator is borked or something

Oh and if I give it a push start it starts

So do the lights work when you turn them on and the bike is not running? Is there enough charge to start the bike with the electric start? In which case your battery is fine.

If not you could take your bike for a longer run.

When you take it for a run don't have the lights on, and go somehwere where you don't have to keep using the indicators or braking.

If this fails you will need to take the battery out and charge it. It would be unlikely if you damaged the charging circuit by running the battery down when you flooded your bike.

I see. I ride I went on I had the lights on, so thats propably why it didnt work.. all the lights and stuff come on, just not enough power to electric start it

Im now trying to get the battery out to charge it with a battery charger, but I cant figure out how to get it out...

If it clears up abit maybe ill take it for a spin again without lights on and stuff.

Take your seat off..... as most bike batteries are under the seat.
Then just undo the battery terminals and remove the clamp/strap holding the battery in place.... remove. Charge.

I cant figure out how to get it off. I have tugged on various things cant get anything off. I tried looking an nc30 manual I found, but its totally different. and im abit scared to use any large amount of force incase I break somethign haha... I thought there might be a lock or something for the pillion seat or something but cant find it either...

My little Fizzer was so easy to get at the battery :(

Don't force stuff.

Try and get someone with your model of bike to explain how to lift the seat up; sorry don't know your bike model to help on this.

Like Surfer said dont try to force anything off.


Ok some bikes use a key to help lift the seat off.

Now it could be that the key goes somewhere down the side of the pillion seat... or at the back of the pillion seat.

Some have a pull down piece of metal to help remove the seat.

Or it could well be bolted on (like mine is)

Contact DEATH_INC. or White Trash as they live near you...out in South Auckland.... and they may be able to go directly to where the switch/key is/goes.
