Quick ride on 22

another great day, :sunny: :sunny: after a late start to do a few minor repairs on a mates bike :bash:
and waiting for our other mate to turn up we did a quick blat down 22, had some coffee and fuel at the BP Naragwhia and back the way we came, thanks guys, another good ride. :yes:

well i worked at 11 hour day today, and didnt even touch my bike :crybaby: but i did get to drive a truck, tractor, quad and car...... who the hell am i kidding, i wanted my bike :(

I went down to Raglan today,mostly on 22,went round the mountain at Raglan and on the way back saw a big bunch of sports bikes on Ohautira rd,thats the road from Wainaro turnoff to Te Uku,they must off still been tight on the bars from the gravel because only the lead bike waved to me,what do you expect from sports bikes though...they never wave at dirt bikes.

20km somewhere south west of Naike I stopped to figure out where the hell I was when I smelt petrol! Dripping out of the tank - so I blasted up to Naike to be near a main road if I was going to need help.Sealed it with a turkey feather and imagination and went home.My rear tyre has ''gone off'' as Rossi would say,just past half worn and I have no braking control coming into corners,big lockups in the gravel and trouble getting it back where I want it.Too much riding on seal can do that.

While my helmet was on the ground it must have been splashed with the petrol and now has stains - not sure if it is tar splashed off the road or the crap from the bike - but it's not coming off easily....any ideas before I use something strong smelling?

Quick ride alright. You are doing real well FF. As I told you before, I was impressed by how quick you went on some of thoes corners.
