Lookit dis, lookit dis!!!!
I can't recommend Cajun's Father-in-law highly enough. McDonald's Motor Trimmers (http://www.trimit.co.nz) in Tauranga recovered this for me and got the embroidery sorted as well, exactly in the original Yamaha script. I reckon it's given the bike a huge lift with being ostentatious.
Nice Job indeed.
Thanks
Jim

Good work! Amazing how such a small thing makes a big difference in looks!
I was admiring Cajun's Gixxer seat embroidery (gsxr logo) the other week and he told me his relation did the work.

$66 inc. freight. Which was less than the quote incidentally. Not like going to the dentist at all.

Just a note to everyone else, we do all sorts of seats, from total recovers and custom seats, to simple recovers, or just a simple logo embroideryed in the standard seat. Also any colours, i had my old gsxr1100 rear seat in a metallic blue gliter seat, with the front black grippy(like on moto-x seats), which we also recover
Also i will give my father in law the link so he can say what ya said Jim

What I want to know is How do you keep the bike so clean ???I was shocked (SHOCKED!) by how bright and shiny it is. Maybe Mrs Jim2 lets him clean it occasionally....

Clean? What is this 'clean'? Apparently some people's motorcycles come out in a colour different to grey-brown.
No point cleaning mine. First, its scratched. Second, its covered in oil, brake dust and dirt. Third, it just comes back again.
1st prize for dirtiest bike in Welly would have to go to Matthewt's Brutale, though. His only gets cleaned when the bike shop service it... :2thumbsup

I think Colemans have actually given up on cleaning mine.
I figure all the crud just helps to hold it together.

If you think mine's clean, you wait 'til you see Paul in NZ's Guzzi up close.
I like cleaning my bike. Takes about 2 hours though. Gets me away from the screaming.

I have to agree with Jim about the service from McDonalds - they recovered my CBR seat (that's a pillion/rider seat in one) for $75 and did a top job in double quick time. :niceone:
