Got your attention?

Had a great ride this weekend! A '97 Softail 1340, an '07 Softail 1600, an '05 Dyna Low Rider 1450 and a C90. Oh, and my little C50T!:innocent: We were all two-up with our wives.

Had no problem keeping up and through the Waipoua Forest the two Boulevard's easily gapped the Harley's even though we weren't really trying hard... The Low-Rider in particular was grounding regularly. To add insult to injury, he got a screw in his tyre which made two holes! (Big ups to Kelvin at Kaiwaka Suzuki for doing a quick Sat. morning repair!) My Bro-in-Law on the 1340 was impressed he couldn't make ground on me overtaking and up the hills:bye:

Got 53mpg which was impressive considering the pace and the bike now has over 2000km up and is running sweet!

Awesome scenery and good roads!

You certainly chose the right day to go up there ED, in saying that, the Norfy's ''would say any day is a good day''...how was the moss on the forrest road?

No probs! Was expecting a bit but apart from a couple of places where water was running across the road, was drysabone! Sure did pick the right weekend!

Only marred by a suicidal dog which ran out at the C90, I was second behind him and don't let anyone tell you the single front disc and drum rear brakes on the C50T are inadequate! Panic braking just missed the mongrel!

Another thing I noted was just how quiet the C50T is in company with the bigger bikes which all had custom pipes! The Low-Rider was especially loud even though he'd fitted baffles after buying it!

Glad tro hear the boulevard held up its end of the performance stakes Edbear :) but hell, two holes in one tyre, that must have gone down in a rush, hopefully you had a rep-kit amongst you all.

Hi Guys , first and foremost we are all motorcyclists regardless of what we are currently rideing and thats the important thing.I have both a Yamaha and a Norton Atlas and enjoy rideing both , would like also to have a Harley , maybe some day.As far as cruisers are concerned we probably have to admit that Harley,s design concept is the model is that all other makes have copied but like all things automotive the japs have added improvements.Best toyou all

Well! I never thought trolling would be such fun!

Personally, I like bikes! PERIOD! I'd love a 1200 Sportster, a brand new one! I like my Bro-in-Law's Softail even though with 1340cc he couldn't catch me! I like the Dyna T-Sport, too and the Electra Glide!

Between friends and family there are about 6 Harleys, including a V-Rod or two, Fatboy, two Softails, Low Rider! We all love bikes and riding them and we don't diss each other's rides! The Harley owners all liked my new C50T and enthused at its value for money! They also like my other Bro-in-Law's C90 with the custom pipes making for beautiful music!

Other's have - Intruder 1400, which my Sister and Bro-in-Law are trying out today-(see Bike Trader for the reason they're selling the Softail), there's a Valkyrie, C90T, Daytona 955i, etc.

I think I'll hang around a while...

As for the ride, we weren't even trying to gap the Harley's we were just cruising through enjoying the scenery at what we thought was a fairly sedate pace! The Low Rider owner, after getting through to the Opononi lookout, ruefully commented, "Now I know why it's called a LOW RIDER!"
