I think it is the Buell due to the high power and very short wheel base.

yeah but i herd the Buell has problems trying to get over 200kmph

You said fastest cornering, not in a straight line

Too many variables to be entered into. Camber of the corner, direction, sharpness, double apex or not, hairpin, on the track or on the road?

Are you talking all round? You may as well as said, whats the best bike? (What the people come out and play)

I'll give you that one, just because you let me start up your bike when i was drunk... and I got to give it a few revs :first:

I would say THIS (http://www.europark.com/machines/ny-rgv500_2001.htm) is mine.

And to just clarify that....it was on its center stand aye Rob? and you were blocked in aye Rob? and there was no way you could/would get the bike out of where it was aye Rob?.....

I've gotten out of tighter situations before... I was quite happy just sitting on the Trumpy, giving it a few revs...

Thinking about that one corner I saw my friend Leon take, I'd have to rate the Yamaha TZR250 with a Pilot Power front and Supercorsa rear as a pretty good bike for late cornering techniques, and considering vamr's post of the 500 2-stroke GP bike, I'd have to agree with that one more...

But then again, getting hold of a 2-stroke GP bike isn't exactly like going to Dick Smith to buy some useless crap...

At the end of the day, it probably comes down to rider and bike familiarity... Like DMNTD on his highly overpowered ZX-10 going up the Kaimai's on Saturday... the bike was lying mere centimetres off the road (huge huge huge lean angle) and Chris had to keep fiddling with the throttle cause the back was spinning up...

Well...

I've ridden the XB12, the GSXR1000K7 and the 675.

Out of those three, its the gixxer, with the 675 very very close behind.

But all three are better at the limit than I will ever be.

Honda C50 cub. What corners were you talking about?

yeah, true, what corners... CT110's are the bees knees in carpark situations... you just come up to a corner drop a gear, and just lean it over till the pegs scrape and open the throttle up...

I doubt there is much competition against the Britten, but just to make it fair, I don't think Sidewindow is asking about non-roadlegal bikes...

the fastest bike round any corner is the one with the rider who has the biggest balls and the biggest wallet. Any stock bike will be different with every rider on the exact same machine.

Then, you have suspension mods, tyres, surface, weather, humidity, tyre pressure etc etc etc etc etc etc etc.

You'd be better off asking how long can you hold your breath in space.

Way too many variables and no straight answer.

Definitely my CB250RS. The wide, grippy tyres and beautiful standard suspension (rear FVQs!) means it can easily out-corner a GSXR. And it's definitely got the horsepower to out-power a litre bike out of the corners.

whichever bike has valentino on it.

although current results would say this is not true..

I'll second that on BMZ, and in close second (considering production bikes) "It's a Firebolt Arry, the fastest broom in the world":dodge:

Mine.

Literally

125GP bikes have THE highest corner speed of any motorcycle. But it still requires a DAMN good rider...

Closest road legal thing you can get is the Aprillia RS125.

Oh and, whoever mentioned the brittan as a great cornering bike, as much as you may hate to hear it, cornering wasnt one of the strong points of the bike. Mostly down to the front forks. But it's still a legend...

Very good gwasshoppergizzards. You are wise.

Off the shelf: MVAgusta F4.
It's already got the stuff you spend the $ on.

Its simple gsxr 750 k6 its on rails

O yes and andrew strout and friends who have ridden the britten would argue about it being the fast cornering bike They all reckon the girder front end was shit and you had no feeling when braking or cornering so no confidence = slow cornering. If im not mistaken andrew strout and john britten had a few arguments about putting a "normal" front end on the britten but john britten did not want to have any of it. If you dont believe me read the britten book talks about it alot.

Favourite? RC30 no question. It's a fat, heavy, slow pig by modern standards but that suspension and chassis just plain worked and it was rock steady with knee on the deck and bits grinding off.

Ahhh good times.

I tell you what else was impressive that I had a burn on the other day - the new Fazer. Sollllllid as.

I used to love taking my VTR250 through Twilight Road. Taught me shitloads about how to handle a bike in conjuncton with a hairpin or seven.

However I am not fast and haven't ridden enough bikes to justify having a favourite.

GSF650 Bandit. Just as flickable as its stablemate the GSR600 but more fun. Not as fast a cornerer in terms of flat-out speed as a track bike (obviously) but if you feel the need to change direction repeatedly in a short period of time, it is definitely quick.

Those are words of wisdom, and they would apply to most of the rest of us as well. Although we may not all be aware of that

A couple of favorite experiences that stood out for me were a 97 FZR600 a while back and recently a K4GSXR750.
I've also ridden an 07 Fazer and thought that was pretty good around the faster sweeping corners.

the orange one

well in which case, it's all 'here say' cos i've not pushed any bike as hard as i can apart from what i've owned.

so on that note, i'll chip in the duc 1098 then

Ummm , I don't think I'm number 46, but I think I took the photo.

I thought briefly of buying an AGV #46 helmet but it would sort of be at variance with my monumental chicken strips...

anyone got a schwantz helmet? my suzuki GP125 is my fave cornering bike, even though i crash coz it scrapes stuff.

As far as I know the fastest cornering bikes would have to be 125 GP bikes the only thing that touches down is your knee only problem is the crybabies that ride them nowdays so I got rid of mine . when it comes to the most fun I say it has to be Motards but you end up with a sore gut from laughing . When it comes to fun with road legal bikes , If it can outrun a cop it's roadlegal. I also remember my old GSXR 1100k being a lot of fun , no ground clearance, shite brakes, but freeakin huge powerslides at seriously stupid speeds (ex father in law seriously pissed off at being passed at 180 sideways )

Bigger bikes are slower around corners

Smaller bikes are faster around corners.

A 250 will easuly be much faster around a corner than a 1000 or a 600 or a 750

A 125 will be faster, it's all about weight.

Fastest will certainly be a 125 GP bike followed by my bucket.

My favourite? GSX1400 of course. Corners real well and side to side transitions are quick. Love it :)
