On Friday night (27th Aug) a mate's XR250 was stolen from Lower Hutt.
It's fairly unique as its has both electric and kickstart. It also has a
carbon fibre rear guard, missing muffler guard (it was off the bike at
the time getting painted), and has about 18k on the odo. Chassis
number MD30 - 1401047.
Anyone got any leads please contact me by PM or (04) 565 1159
Thanks.

Another stolen bike, why can't they cut the hands off the thieving scumbags in this country!! I'll keep an eye out but strongly doubt it will venture this far north

Sad to say, that unless it was joy-riders it will have by now been sent well north, or maybe south, and possibley not be as it was.
Dirty riotten thieveing scumbags, i agree toads, hand chopping time.

 Ya never know it may turn up - when my bike was stolen it turned up not far from our place about a week later! Fingers crossed!

the horrible thing about having something stolen is that even if it does return to you, it's usually not in the same condition you left it in, and moreover the culprits are not usually caught and dealt with, you feel crapped on and angry and have trust issues thereafter. I speak from experience of having our home completely done over a few years back when all 6 kids still lived at home and we had no insurance!, Very unpleasant.

My XBR500RS mutant was stolen by joy-riders when I lived in Hamilton, and I got it back the next morning, only slightly the worse for wear. But I agree about feeling violated. What was worse was coming home and finding our house had been burgled. It took ages to get over that.

If I find it down here would you like the bike returned?
or the bodies of the people who took it?
