He made George Bush look smart. My favourite was Mikhail Gorbachev. In an interview with Parkinson...

Parkinson: "So what was it like having all that power at your fingertips, you know with one finger on the red button?"

Mikhail: "I was very nervous."

Parkinson: "I can understand, I mean you could have destroyed the world."

Mikhail: "Not nervous like that. I was afraid it wouldn't work!"
