Chain lube - here's a dumb question

I’m going for a ride tomorrow – but I need to lube my chain first

I got a new O’ring chain a couple of weeks ago and it’s got the wax on it, I want to keep using wax on my chain but I forgot to get some today – so I was going to lube it with oil just for my ride tomorrow.
Question is will I have to clean the oil off later to go back to using the wax – or can you lube the chain with both depending on what’s available to use with no problems.

Oil or spray on chain lube I believe either should be fine. Unless you've done over about 1,000km with it already though I wouldn't bother with the oil and I would lube it once you've bought a can of chain lube and just ride it anyway in the meantime. They don't need over-lubing.
