Put a pack rack on the 9 today which is good.

Now looking for a bag to put on the rack. It is a ventura rack if that makes a difference. Want one of those bags that slide over the rack so cant fall off.

Phil Turnballs have them for $195 which is not too bad but if I can get one second hand that someone is not using would be quite good.

So if we can help each other out would be fantastic.

Or if you know of a shop that is cheaper than the $195 would be ok too.

Cheers

Ventura sell the bags as well thats what I have. You can have one or the two bags is need that zip two together on sits on the rack and the other on the rear seat. (Very handy) I then have the throw over side saddles gives heaps of luggage... :-)

The warehouse often has bags with the sleeve. That'll do well for $30 or so until you find a goodie on trademe. I got mine real cheap through trademe, wait and search often.

.... Second only to it's bigger brother - the 'Expandable Rack Bag'...

I've got the bigger one and would recommend it to anyone. It gets used every day and I seldom use the expansion feature (see my profile pic for when I do!). However when I do it is fantastic. Like heading home from work with assorted gear laptop etc etc and deciding that a dozen ales would be good too! ... and only another $20...

I normaly keep it reversed so that the weight is on the seat.

The RJAYS Expandable is an awesome bag and fits the ventura rack perfectly. And not that expensive.

I have the RJays expandable also and it's great for longer trips. (First bag I got). Also have one half of the zip together Ventura that I got because I didn't want to carry the big bag around overnight trips eg trackdays. The RJays is quite bulky and cumbersome to carry if you're only staying one night. Very recently I got an Oxford Tailpack that sits on the back seat, ie. without Ventura pack rack. Reason - Getting sick of putting on and taking off the pack rack at trackdays and the smaller bag is much easier to carry around.

So the point - Think carefully about what you want the bag for and pick the size appropriately. I was thinking of offering you one of mine, but really, they all have their uses....
