Does anyone know of any suppliers of flat fiber sheeting in the nth island?
I'm after a piece 300x300mm to perforate and mount as an oil cooler guard for the scrambler. Needs to be about 1.0mm thick. Or maybe i should use stainless, or alloy.
The bash plate should turn up soon, but wont protect the cooler.
Any idea on cost would be helpful.

Just got some stainless steel security mesh from Greg @ Home Plus in Hamilton.
$20 for 500x250. (enough for at least one balls up).
This bloke campaigns a couple of 250cc drag bikes, so obviously a top man. Let him know about this place. Could be a good source of knowledge re drag racing for those interested.
Now where are my tin snips....

Just be careful when working with carbon fibre, especially when doing the finishing work. It is carcenogenic (causes cancer)

Don't think he would mind being contacted. Call 07 8472221, and ask for Greg.
Not going to use the carbon fibre now, the stainless mesh is fitted and should work out well. Have used it before on the Daytona with no issues. Air flow is barely upset, and stops bugs, gravel etc blocking the fins.
Easy to wash and can take stone impacts.
