Ok stupid question but... how do you remove the main seat? I mean I can get the locked one off fine using the key. But can't seem to work the main one out. Any ideas?

Once you've taken the pillion one off there is a bar thing near the front of that compartment. Pull that towards the back of the bike and you'll then be able to get seat off and get to battery and another small storage space.
