Where can i start?
my fzx250 (same engine as fzr250r) needs more horsies.
I have a "custom" exhaust (baffles were taken out by previous owner) that i have actually fixed.
what next? some carby tweaks?
anyone know much about these engines?
anybody got a 400 i could slot in?

Help!

NOS or put a turbo on it!!

Sorry Blakamin, I'm part of the "Fast and Furious" generation :puke: We've only got two wayz to tune carz :msn-wink:

I'd advocate going for a 400 or 600 now. As long as your not going to be playing silly buggers on it I think the constabulary would be unlikey to inspect it's cc rating. Only downside is you'd need to hang onto the FZX or beg/borrow/steal a 250 for your restricted and/or full license test.

Otherwise, assuming you've had a full car license for >=2years you'll likely be eligible for the CBTA license assessment, which would get you legal quickly and onto a WT special!

hehehe...just trying to sort out a deal at the mo.... i'm sure i could beg/borrow/test ride a 250 for my licence :msn-wink:

If ya haven't got the license you get pinged $200 every time you get stopped. At Christmas time you could get stopped enough to lose your license.

Dats my coment.

HAHAHA. Hmmm those cbr can be good or can be dodgy. As for licencing well i had to wait till my full to get a bigger bike, not to worried about my capabilities but the big issue is INSURANCE. They don't pay out if you are outside your licence restrictions and that was the main motivation for me to wait. Must be pretty bad though if yo had a bigger bike in aus and now have to "downgrade" :buggerd:

You could always file the engine casing and slap 250 stickers all over it cause they not that much bigger than a 250 version. :killingme :killingme

i still have a 1976 Kawasaki z900 sitting in bits in aus... and yeah, the downgrade is killing me.

Not a bad thought there :msn-wink:

dunno if this deal is gunna stick yet tho... the mrs is spewing!
might have to do the "right thing" as it was part of our deal.

Why's the missus spewing Mike?

Coz i cleaned the zeal every night and looked after it, she thinks i'm going to regret getting rid of it... and she hates green... and she thinks i'm an idiot (not far off there) actually, its a lot like the time i spent $2,500 on a laptop without telling her first :sweatdrop but she got over that pretty quick.
I'm a tad impulsive/impatient at times

will wait to see what happens when i ride home tonite! :brick:

ps...even the office chicks like it (late 40's)

Whichever bike you have tomorrow, spend $15 and put a 1 tooth smaller front sprocket on it.

Cheapest performance upgrade with the highest payback you'll ever do, unless your spending seriously silly money.
